CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A fire broke out at an apartment building Friday night on Simsbury road in south Charlotte.
Crews responded to the blaze at about 8:40 p.m. at the apartment, which is off Fairview Road near Carmel Road.

It took 27 firefighters 30 minutes to control.
No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.
