MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Mooresville Commissioner Mac Herring, 52, died Tuesday afternoon.
Herring was first elected to serve as a commissioner in 2005 and his term was set to expire in November 2017.
The Sheriff's Office will be investigating the case because of his sudden death, the town of Mooresville stated in a news release.
No other details were released.
