CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run on Monroe Road in southeast Charlotte Friday had a run-in with officers moments before the accident.
Police said the victim, Jasmine Hillman, was at the Starz Mart with her boyfriend around 2:40 a.m. while the business was closed.
Officers said they informed the couple they needed to leave the property.
