CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ahmia Feaster, 19, has turned herself in to authorities in Mexico after she disappeared in August with her boyfriend Alex Castillo, 17, and her co-worker Sandy Le, 23, officials said.
Feaster is now in jail in Harris County, Texas.
Police found Le’s body a week after the three vanished, in woods along Robinson Church Road in Cabarrus County. An autopsy showed she had been shot in the head.

Investigators said Castillo and Feaster turned up in Arizona, driving Le’s car.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have outstanding warrants on Feaster for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and being an accessory after the fact.
Castillo is still missing and is believed to be in Mexico.

Attorney Mark Foster said Feaster may be the police's best hope to solve the case.
"But if they don't have a case right now, the case could be made by the cooperation of the woman who turned herself in," Foster said.
Feaster's mother told Channel 9 her daughter has spoken with detectives and told them what they want to know.
It's not clear what she told them, but if it's enough to file murder charges in the case, Foster said police in Mexico could help them find Castillo.

"Murder is included in the extradition treaty between the two countries, it's well within the statute of limitations," Foster said.
Feaster has a hearing scheduled for Nov. 7 in Texas.
