CHARLOTTE — A local food truck is back in business.
Earlier this month, Channel 9 introduced Midnight Grill owner Salahaldeen Abusamra, whose food truck was stolen in University City just two months after buying it. Abusamra said the thieves took his livelihood.

With weeks passing and officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department having no luck tracking down the stolen truck, Abusamara took the situation into his own hands.
Abusamara recently purchased a new truck and reopened the Midnight Grill on University City Boulevard near Thomas Combs Drive. He told Channel 9 that the money collected from a GoFundMe page will help him pay for new appliances.
