CHARLOTTE — A Mexican restaurant founded by a North Carolina native on the West Coast is coming to Charlotte’s South End.
The Matador expects to open this fall at 1215 South Blvd., with more than 3,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor seating at the site of one of Charlotte’s oldest fire stations, according to a press release.
The restaurant is known for its agave spirit selection, boasting more than 150 different tequilas, mezcals and other authentic spirits. Its scratch-made kitchen dishes up burritos, enchiladas, tacos, nachos and more.
