One in six children have experienced a mental health disorder, and suicide is the third-leading cause of death among people ages 15 to 24 in the United States.

- The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services -- Child and Family Mental Health Services
- Thompson Child & Family Focus Services, provides clinical and prevention services for children and families across the Carolinas.
- Alexander Youth Network, provides mental and behavioral health care to children of Charlotte and all over the state.
- NC Collaborative for Children, Youth & Families, provides a forum for collaboration, advocacy and action among families, public and private child and family serving agencies and community partners to improve outcomes for all children, youth and families.
- Matías Rosado Foundation, partners with coaches, teachers, and community leaders to encourage youth mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
- Mecklenburg County Crisis (CriSyS), provides support, training, and resources to guide individuals, families, and community partners to the help and hope they desperately need.
- Mental Health America of Central Carolinas, provides mental health programs in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties and surrounding areas in North Carolina.
- NC Crisis Solutions, request crisis or emergency services in North Carolina for mental health, substance abuse, intellectual and developmental disabilities issues.
- SAMHSA’s “Caring for Every Child’s Mental Health,” an agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation.
- Youth MOVE National, a youth-driven, chapter-based organization dedicated to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of individuals who have lived experience in various systems including mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare.
- NAMI North Carolina, works to raise awareness and provide essential education, advocacy, and support so people affected by mental illness can build better lives.
