CHARLOTTE — A man has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting on Sept. 23 in east Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Police said they responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on Albemarle Road near Farm Pond Lane just after 2 p.m.
At the scene, police said they found 31-year-old Tahji Henderson with a gunshot wound. Henderson would later die from his injury.

The shooter has been identified as 45-year-old Johnny Warren.
He was taken into custody and has been charged with murder.
Witness Amir Bey said he was nearby and heard at least eight gunshots.
“I was headed on my way back home and all I (heard was) arguing and yelling,” Bey said. “You kind of see what’s going on and then you see the shotgun. I’m like, OK, keep my distance.”
