CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Five people were injured Sunday afternoon after a crash involving an ambulance, MEDIC said.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on 4th Street and Queens Road in the Elizabeth neighborhood.
Police told Channel 9 the ambulance flipped on its side after being hit by a car.
Officials said 4th Street was partially shut down while crews investigated the crash.

MEDIC reported five people were transported to the hospital, but all injuries were non-life threatening.
