CHARLOTTE — A deadly crash, involving a motorcycle, shut down the Interstate 485 outer loop in northeast Charlotte Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
MEDIC confirmed one person died at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

Troopers said the motorcycle was speeding when it tried to switch lanes and hit another vehicle.
The female motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
