Meck County hosts free concert series this summer

CHARLOTTE — Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s Sundown Sounds concert series has kicked off for the summer season.

Concerts will take place at various parks across the county through Aug. 24.

Performances are held from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free and vendors will be onsite.

The schedule is listed below:

June 2 — Sahara Reggae Band at Ramsey Creek Beach in Cornelius

June 15 — Bernard Harris Band at Eastway Regional Recreation Center

June 22 — Adrian Crutchfield at Pearl Street Park

July 7 — Of Good Nature at Ramsey Creek Beach in Cornelius

July 14 — The Steepwater Band at Park Road Park

July 20 — Eli Yacinthe Band at Romare Bearden Park

July 27 — Blue Monday at Pearl Street Park

Aug. 4 — Blackwater Band at Ramsey Creek Beach in Cornelius

Aug. 11 — The Eric Brice Group at Park Road Park

Aug. 17 — West End Mambo at Eastway Regional Recreation Center

Aug. 24 — Unknown Artists at Pearl Street Park
