License revoked for massage therapist accused of inappropriately touching clients

CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte massage therapist accused of inappropriately touching two clients has had their license revoked by the state, according to reports.

Channel 9 previously reported that the first complaint against Michael Cuthbertson was filed in July of this year, while the second complaint was filed just three months later.

The clients said the incidents took place at Zen Massage on East Boulevard near Dilworth Road West.

One victim told Channel 9 that Cuthbertson touched her genital area multiple times.

Following these claims, the NC Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy revoked Cuthbertson’s therapy license. He has been licensed in North Carolina since 2010.

Cuthbertson has also been ordered to pay $2,000 in civil penalty and costs.

He has 30 days to file an appeal to the Superior Court.
