LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities in Lincoln County are searching for someone who tried to rob the Fifth Third Bank on East Cross Drive in Denver on Friday at 5:45 p.m.
The male suspect walked up to a teller location and passed the teller a note demanding money. He said he was armed but did not show a weapon.
The teller read the note, but the man fled the bank without taking any money.

He was wearing a light blue shirt, tie, black hat, black pants, face mask, glasses and gloves.
Deputies could not get a vehicle description or direction of travel.
