LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — A company based in Nebraska has chosen the Charlotte region for its third manufacturing plant.

Chief Buildings, a subsidiary of Chief Industries Inc., announced yesterday it would be expanding with a new facility in Lancaster County.

The company is expected to invest $22.1 million in the project, which will create 102 jobs over the next five years.

The project was approved for incentives by the Lancaster County Council earlier this week under the codename Project Arrowhead.

Chief Buildings will locate its operations at an existing, 104,500-square-foot building at 992 Quality Drive in Lancaster.
