CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested 33-year-old Joseph Tyrell Abercrombie (AKA: “South Carolina” or “Jay”), who had been sought in connection with a December murder in Charlotte.
Abercrombie, who police described as armed and dangerous, was found by authorities in Jacksonville, Florida.
He will be transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office upon extradition.

Police took out arrest warrants for a long list of charges, including murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Abercrombie is allegedly responsible for killing Antwain Maurice Price on his 39th birthday. It was the city's 85th homicide investigation of 2017.
