Man hit by train after getting truck stuck in mud, CMPD says

CHARLOTTE — A man got his truck stuck in the mud near railroad tracks over the weekend and was later hit by a train, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

Cody Alexander Humphreys called a friend for help after getting stuck on the tracks Saturday night near Old Concord Road and John Kirk Drive. He started walking along the tracks and that was when he was struck.

The investigation is ongoing.
