CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a man was shot early Sunday morning in uptown Charlotte.
Investigators said hours before the shooting someone stabbed the security manager at the Suite nightclub inside the Epicentre.

Officers said an argument started around 2 a.m. at the RedEye Diner in the Epicentre in uptown Charlotte.
The men who were arguing left the diner and continued onto College Street where one of them started shooting, according to CMPD.
After the shooting, police said the suspect fled into a parking deck, but was quickly found and arrested.

The victim was rushed to Carolina's Medical Center with injuries but is expected to be OK.
No names have been released.
