GASTONIA, NC — A man died in a crash Thursday morning just after dropping off his child at day care in Gaston County, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash around 7 a.m. on Hickory Grove Road near East Gaston High School.
According to highway patrol, the victim, later identified as Joshua Mullins, was heading to work when he had a medical incident.
Officials said he has a history of seizures. He then rear-ended another vehicle, went off the road and hit a tree.

A Gofundme page has been set up to support Mullins’ wife and three children and help pay for a funeral.
