Man reported missing found dead in York County pond, coroner’s office says

YORK COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating after a York County man who was reported missing earlier in June was found dead in a pond Thursday, the York County coroner’s office said.

Officials said 47-year-old Reginald Witherspoon was reported missing by family members June 13.

The coroner’s office was called to Mount Gallant Road in Rock Hill after Witherspoon was found in a pond on the property.

No other details have been released at this point.
