KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — A man was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle in Kannapolis Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash happened at around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of South Little Texas Road and Hyde Street.

After investigating, officials said the motorcycle ran into the back of a car that was turning onto Hyde Street. The motorcyclist, 22-year-old Keeari Knox, was then thrown from the motorcycle.
He was taken to Atrium Health Cabarrus where he died.
Authorities believe the speed of the motorcycle was a factor in the crash.
