CHARLOTTE, N.C — Police told Channel 9 they have charged a man accused of shooting at officers after crashing into a light pole just outside of uptown Charlotte Thursday night.
Jeremy Moody is now facing several charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, felony hit-and-run and felony flee to elude arrest after police said he took off from a traffic stop on Oaklawn Avenue before crashing into a light pole just a few blocks away.

Officers said that after the crash, Moody got out of the car and fired a shot at officers before running away.
No one was hit and police did not return fire.
Officers were able to chase Moody down and arrest him.
Police said Daniel Thomas was a passenger in the car and was also arrested for an unrelated warrant for child support.
