CONCORD, N.C. — A NASCAR fan who was hurt when a camera cable snapped and fell into the stands during a race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2013 has filed a lawsuit.
Patrick Carpenter is suing the speedway, FOX Sports Productions and Speedway Motorsports for negligence.
Carpenter said the cable wrapped around his arm, causing permanent injuries.
A total of 10 people were hurt and several race cars were damaged in the accident during the Coca-Cola 600 in 2013.
