CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was shot inside a car in west Charlotte Monday morning.
Officers responded around 11:40 a.m. to the 1300 block of Effingham Road, near Tuckaseegee Road and Freedom Drive, and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics said that person was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.
From Chopper 9 Skyzoom, dozens of officers could be seen surrounding a white sedan with its windows shattered, and detectives were placing evidence markers on the ground.
Police have not released any other details surrounding the shooting.
