“The most significant -- it’s flu-like symptoms but it’s gonna be more fever and lower respiratory symptoms. More cough, shortness of breath is really what we’re looking for," said Dr. David Rentz.
Novant Health has opened two screening centers including one in Matthews. Two other locations will be open Wednesday in Huntersville and Kernersville.
They will operate from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Novant Health Presbyterian in Charlotte and hospitals in Forsyth and Rowan Counties are also putting up tents outside of the hospitals to screen patients.
If someone does have symptoms, officials said they should not just show up at one of these facilitates, because that could put people at risk. They want you to call first.
