CONCORD, N.C. — Sulaiman Burvick confessed to sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl with special needs who lived nearby in Concord.
Investigators said that when someone found out Burvick tried to kill that person.
The victim's family contacted Channel 9 worried other children in their community may also be victims.
The assault happened in a neighborhood not far from Concord Parkway North.

Authorities in Concord brought Burvick to police headquarters for questioning Friday.
They said he'd stabbed his girlfriend after a fight.
During the questioning for that violent crime, Burvick confessed to another crime -- sexually assaulting the young girl.
