CHARLOTTE — Dreshon Moreno has been arrested and charged with the murder of a woman who was killed in a car that had crashed down an embankment off Shamrock Road in east Charlotte.
Officers were called to Shamrock Drive near Hickory Grove Road at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Moreno used a pistol to rob Kennedi Jones of her phone before killing her, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Jones died at a hospital due to her injuries.
Dreshon Moreno is charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
