MARION, N.C. — Detectives in McDowell County say a 23-year-old man is being charged with felony murder after a deadly shooting this weekend.
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office says deputies went to Lentz Road for a shooting early Sunday morning and found a man who had been shot to death.
Investigators say Preston Nathaniel Moss was at the scene with the victim, and he was taken into custody before being charged.
The sheriff’s office didn’t say what may have led to the shooting.
The victim hasn’t been identified yet.
