ALBERMARLE, NC — The Albemarle Police Department has charged a man in a March shooting.
Jevon Tyrese Blackmon, 18, is charged with felony attempted first-degree murder, felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and discharge weapon into occupied dwelling/moving vehicle.
Police said they got a call about a shooting on Gibson Street on March 30. When they got there, they found a car with 10 bullet holes in the hood and door. A nearby home was hit by stray bullets.
Officers learned a man shot in the leg was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. He was treated and released.
Bond for Blackmon was set at $750,000.
