CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was arrested after police said he assaulted a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer with a knife.
Officers charged James Ruff with assault with a deadly weapon on a government official.
Authorities said officers were called Monday to Seascape Lane. They said Ruff assaulted one of the officers, who had minor injuries.
