CHARLOTTE — CMPD says 11 seconds in a restricted-access part of the airport led to a man being arrested on several outstanding warrants.
Police say Ronald Shoats ignored warning signs and walked into a restricted stairwell near the concourse A-B connector in Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Court documents say security saw him do this on surveillance cameras and when police confronted him about it in the bathroom, he tried to run away.
CMPD says they caught him in concourse A.
He was wanted on a warrant for sexual battery and there was an order for his arrest for failing to appear in court.
He is now being held on no bond in jail.
