CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The man accused of shooting and killing a newspaper deliveryman in uptown Charlotte last week is out of the hospital and will face a judge Wednesday.
Roger Best is charged with murdering Wes Scott during an attempted robbery along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Best was also shot during the incident and flagged down an officer. He was taken to the hospital, where he has been recovering.

Best was released and booked into jail around 11 p.m. Tuesday. He is set to be in court Wednesday at 1 p.m.
