Family member accused of killing Rock Hill woman appearing in court

Rock Hill Police Department

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A man arrested in connection with the death of a 53-year-old woman last fall is expected in court Friday, Rock Hill police say.

On Nov. 9, officers with the Rock Hill Police Department were called to a home on Cauthen Street for a welfare check. A contractor helped police gain access to the home where they found Lisa Rosenzweig’s body.

Responding officers said they believed Rosenzweig was struck with an unknown object in the head resulting in her death.

On December 6, police announced that 39-year-old Anthony Lopez had been identified as a suspect in this case.

Lopez was arrested by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and extradited to Rock Hill, according to police.

Police said Lopez had a familial relationship with the victim.

Lopez is expected in Rock Hill Municipal Court for a bond hearing Friday afternoon.
