TROUTMAN, N.C. — Lumber spilled onto Interstate 77 near U.S. 21 in Iredell County Tuesday afternoon after two tractor-trailers collided.
A right northbound lane near mile marker 44 in Troutman was shut down during the investigation and subsequent cleanup.

There was no word on injuries or what may have caused the wreck. Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the scene and could see crews working to remove the wood from the interstate. damage could be seen on both tractor-trailers and traffic was backed up for miles.
The Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
