KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Lowes Foods is adding another store in the Charlotte region.
A marketing flyer from local real estate firm MPV Properties shows a nearly 50,900-square-foot Lowes store as a central component of Kellswater Commons, a “mixed-use retail center” in Kannapolis. The site is at Rogers Lake Road and Kannapolis Parkway, adjacent to the Kellswater Bridge residential development — one of the region’s top-selling neighborhoods, according to CBJ research.

Lowes Foods confirmed the news in a press release Tuesday afternoon, noting that it’s one of five upcoming locations across the Carolinas, three of which are in the Charlotte region. In addition to the Kannapolis store, the grocer has a Concord store in the works at Christenbury Village and another at The Exchange in Indian Land, CBJ has previously reported.
