CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Residents in Cabarrus County flooded the 911 call center after they said there was a loud boom and bright flash in the sky overnight Friday.

“I didn't see anything,” a resident said. “(I) just heard the loud explosion sound and then, we started seeing sirens.”
