CHARLOTTE — Plaza Midwood, meet Sister.

The restaurant concept will replace KiKi Bistro starting Jan. 28. Expect a European-inspired café with daytime hours and a diverse menu featuring modern Greek fare, breakfast offerings and plenty of favorites from Soul Gastrolounge, says Andy Kastanas.

It is located at 1500-A Central Ave., at the corner of Pecan and Central avenues.

Think of it as a sister concept to Soul, which has been a fixture in Plaza Midwood since 2009. Kastanas has received many requests for Soul to offer lunch over the years.

“We thought an all-day concept would work well — giving the people what they’ve been asking for, for a long time,” he says. “This is like the family version of Soul, if you will.”

Operations will not change at Soul Gastrolounge and Tattoo Liquor Lounge, an intimate cocktail lounge in what used to be a tattoo parlor.
