CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A mixed-use project long on the drawing boards for a site near the Lynx Blue Line Scaleybark Station is expected to move into a first phase this summer.
Northwood Ravin is in permitting and expects to break ground on an approximately 300-unit apartment project this summer, near South Boulevard and Scaleybark Road, said David Ravin, president and CEO of Northwood Ravin. The project will be the first of a multi-phase development.
The total site is about 18 acres and includes a retail strip center and some currently vacant lots on South Boulevard, as well as residential land on nearby Hollis Road and Weston Street. The redevelopment was first proposed in 2008 and the land rezoned in 2009.
