CHARLOTTE — As Charlotte continues to grow, the prices of homes continue to rise.
Through a partnership between The Links Incorporated and Habitat for Humanity, two families in the Queen City won’t have to worry about a roof over their heads.
The Links Incorporated is a nonprofit made up of women dedicated to community service.

On Saturday, volunteers from Habitat for Humanity and members of The Links Incorporated met along Morris Field Drive in west Charlotte to begin building.
A major part of the goal on Saturday was to provide more affordable housing in the city.
Toni Freeman, a member of The Links Incorporated, looks at their work as providing an opportunity for others.
“As a member of this community individually and as a chapter, we believe in providing people with an opportunity for economic growth,” Freeman said.
