CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte military family received a special home renovation recently with the help of Lifetime TV home-improvement series, “Military Makeover with Montel.”

U.S. Army Master Sgt. Joey Pryor and wife Joy, an Air Force veteran, have collectively served 19 years in the military.

Joey was deployed for over 30 months in Afghanistan, earning numerous service medals, combat action badges and a Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.

Family friend Ron Rossman decided to nominate them for “Military Makeover with Montel” as a way to give back for what they did for the country.

“Military Makeover with Montel” hosts Montel Williams, Art Edmonds and designer Jennifer Bertrand worked on giving the Pryor family their dream home in the Brown Road neighborhood.
