CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A planned adaptive-reuse project in Charlotte’s Villa Heights neighborhood may be getting a second look.
Filings with the city indicate an Atlanta real estate firm, Flournoy Cos., is considering developing apartments at 2226 N. Davidson St., a site that Charlotte developer Beacon Partners acquired last year. At the time, Beacon had plans to upfit the existing warehouse building into 47,000 square feet of office and retail space.
Erin Shaw, director of office investments at Beacon, said Tuesday the firm is considering several plans for the building and the site, which measures 2.3 acres between 25th and 26th streets. The site is in the Villa Heights neighborhood, where several apartment and adaptive-reuse developments have delivered recently.
