STATESVILLE, N.C. — Three locales in the Carolinas — including one in the Charlotte region — appear on an inaugural ranking by Fortune magazine aimed at finding the best U.S. places for families to live.
The new ranking highlights areas in the U.S. where multigenerational families are most likely to have access to critical resources, community support and financial well-being, Fortune said in a news release. It analyzed nearly 2,000 places with populations between 25,000 and 750,000 residents, using more than 215,000 data points to home in on five categories: education, aging resources, general wellness, financial health and livability.
Statesville landed at No. 24 on the list of 25 places.
