Local breweries notch top accolades in NC Brewers Cup

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-area breweries walked away with more than 20 medals at the 2020 NC Brewers Cup.

Lost Worlds Brewing in Cornelius took home four medals, including gold for its Euchre Golden Ale, Stinnes Helles Lager and Trier Berliner Weisse.

Husband-and-wife team Dave and Allison Hamme opened that brewery in April of this year.

“As a new brewery, we are continuously amazed by the quality of beer and the innovation in North Carolina,” Dave Hamme says. “We are extremely appreciative of any recognition we receive in this industry, but especially when it is from the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild.”
