CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Security agents at Charlotte Douglas International Airport stopped a man Thursday morning who was carrying a loaded gun.
Just after 8 a.m., a transportation security officer spotted the loaded 9mm handgun in the passenger’s carry-on bag on the X-ray machine.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called and the man was arrested without incident. The passenger’s name was not released.
TSA officers have found 39 firearms at the airport in 2017.
