WILSON, N.C. — A 23-car pileup shut down an interstate in eastern North Carolina for several hours Wednesday, according to WTVD in Raleigh.
It happened on Interstate 795 east of Raleigh, near the Wilson and Wayne county lines.
At least one person was taken away in an ambulance, WTVD reports, but it is unclear how many others were hurt.
The highway was closed for several hours while crews worked to clear it.
