Last push for votes hours ahead of Election Day

"Every vote counts," Clinton campaign volunteer Chuck May told us Monday night, "every vote counts."

And because of that, May, and other campaign workers for presidential Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are still working feverishly around the clock.

'Yes, I'm going to be back here tomorrow and doing phone calls and probably canvassing as well," said Clinton campaign volunteer Gieselle Poveromo.

Volunteers for Clinton working at the campaign office on West Boulevard told us while this last hour push is everywhere, it's noticeably more so in North Carolina.

"There are folks who have flown in internationally all across the globe to support Hillary and the campaign, coming to Charlotte.  It's that important."

And that's one thing Democrats and Republicans seem to agree on.

"Pushing, pushing, pushing, dialing, dialing, dialing, walking walking walking," Claire Mahoney, chairwoman of Mecklenburg County Republicans told us of campaign efforts.

She says in all the elections she's been through, the investment in this one is different.

"I've done many of these, and this is the greatest effort I've ever seen," she said.

And the effort from the candidates themselves is noteworthy.

"In one day, can you believe this, one day, we are going to win the great state of North Carolina," Trump said at a rally in Raleigh Monday afternoon.

He'll be followed by Clinton Monday night. She's set to hold a midnight rally in North Carolina's capital.

And as polls open in the morning, thousands of campaign workers will be hitting the streets and phones on their behalf until they close.
