CHARLOTTE, N.C. — James Belich of Lancaster won the top prize while playing the Supreme Riches scratch-off lottery.
Belich works in Charlotte and bought the winning ticket during his lunch break at the Cigarettes and More on Pineville Matthews Road.

He chose the lump sum, which was more than $4 million after taxes.
He said he will use the money to better his children’s future.
