CHARLOTTE — Lost Worlds Brewing is expanding from the Lake Norman area to midtown Charlotte. The Cornelius craft brewery said Wednesday it is adding a taproom at the Metropolitan.

Lost Worlds expects this winter to open a roughly 4,000-square-foot taproom with greenway access at that mixed-use development off South Kings Drive and Charlottetowne Avenue.

The taproom will be adorned with historic and archeological artifacts that complement its beer, similar to the Cornelius location. It will also serve cocktails, wine, cider and seltzer.

“We’ve always encouraged our guests to ‘Find Their Adventure,’” said founder Dave Hamme in a news release. “With this location, we’re able to provide an oasis for travelers along the Sugar Creek Greenway, which also serves as an on-ramp for hiking, cycling and run clubs.”
