CONCORD, N.C. — Kannapolis police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning that they said stemmed from a crash in Concord.
Officials said Robert Andrews, 27, of Kannapolis, shot Ryan Barrett, 29, of Kannapolis, after the wreck on Orphanage Road.
Barrett was a passenger in the car that hit Andrews' car, according to police.
Barrett is in stable but critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center North East.
Police will be consulting the district attorney and conducting further interviews.
No charges have been filed yet in the case.
