David Morgan, nicknamed “Chilli Bean,” who spent several years in prison while his son was a teen football star in Rock Hill, allegedly fired several shots at an employee of the Crazy Horse adult club after Morgan had been removed from sitting on the stage, according to a Rock Hill Police Department report.

According to The Herald, the victim told police he saw Morgan standing by a wall near the back of the property around 2:15 a.m. and then Morgan fired several shots at him.

The employee told police he returned fire after Morgan shot at him.

Police later found Morgan at Piedmont Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, the report states. He was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police recovered two guns from the scene.

Morgan appeared in court Wednesday for a bond hearing and asked for a public defender.

The defense lawyer asked for bond due to Morgan's medical condition after being shot. The judge denied bond for Morgan on two counts of attempted murder.

Morgan walked out of court while the judge told him to stay.

Morgan's son, Jadeveon Clowney, is on the inactive list for the Houston Texans. He was the number one pick in the 2014 NFL draft after a star career at the University of South Carolina and South Pointe High School in Rock Hill.
