‘It's a vulnerable time': Tools police want you to know about in an active-shooter situation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There is an issue that hits close to home -- active shooters in our schools, workplaces and shopping malls.

CMPD conducted active shooter training Wednesday night.

In the video at the top of this webpage, the tools police want you to know about if you find yourself in an active shooter situation.

• 73% of active shooters had a connection with the attack site
• 88% age 17 or younger targeted their school or former school
